Good to hear your thoughts on this subject. Does a decent amount of Balanchine choreography for his Broadway shows still exist for it to be recreated? American Dance Machine I believe is still somewhat in existence as I get mailings from them from time to time. Some of their shows at the Joyce were really excellent in what they were able to recreate from various choreographers. There might be some numbers also that might be able to be done that were featured on the Tony Awards (like Danny Daniels' work on the title song of "Walking Happy") and things that were on the "Ed Sullivan Show" and other variety shows as well. I guess people were Fosse-d out since "Dancin' " didn't last very long, but I might think some folks would be interested in seeing things by other major choreographers. Btw, the very fun ahd athletic Michael Kidd choreography for "Li'l Abner" was recreated in the film version.
