| The last Broadway production of "Porgy and Bess" was not done as originally written, with letters to the editor by Sondheim himself protesting, however. I think "Of Thee I Sing" holds the stage beautifully; the major alteration through the years has been the addition of the song "Mine" from the flop sequel "Let 'em Eat Cake". |
