My husband and I attended the taping of the pilot (at the old Fox lot in Century City), and this is great news! We loved it. If you're gay, like sitcoms, liked Will & Grace (and I remember people being sniffy about that at first, realizing their mistake later), then you'll find this particularly interesting as it's three gay men, expertly played by Nathan Lane (who knows how to scale his performance, ok), Matt Bomer (adorably dumb and very funny) and the scene-stealing Nathan Lee Graham (a revelation) speaking in a particularly gay male vernacular as opposed to trying not to lose the straight audience (it's for streaming, so less need to cater). Plus there's Linda Lavin (wonderful, but hope she gets more screen time and bitchier lines). What was particularly interesting about the taping was--and I observed this from tapings of Will & Grace--is that the writers and creators came up with lots of alternate lines that only those attending will probably ever witness (maybe extras for the DVD?). A challenge for the actors of course but in one scene, Nathan Lee Graham was given about 6 or 7, all funny, and expertly delivered.
