or Julie Andrews' English accent in Austria in "The Sound of Music". I would have thought one of the nuns might complain -- they bitch about nearly everything else about her Maria! Maybe the one who Maria makes laugh found it amusing.
I don't think the filmmakers trusted van Dyke to attempt another English accent, even though "Mary Poppins" had been a smash.
