There is a person on Reddit who does great box office analysis. Water for Elephants has been treading water for months, coming in, this person suspects, right around breakeven each week and probably hasn’t dipped into their $2 million reserve, but also not making much in the way of money. They are doing a recasting, and it sounds like nobody wants the imperial just yet, so they’ll probably keep running on fumes for a while.
