Slightly off topic - I recall that when the LA Civic Light Opera brought the 1st National of GYPSY to Los Angeles in 1961, starring Ethel Merman, they could not perform it at their usual venue, the 2,600 seat Philharmonic Auditorium because of a 'morals' clause in their contract with Temple Baptist Church whose home the Auditorium was.It played the 1,650 seat Biltmore Theatre instead. This is the only LACLO show I know that had to change homes. When IRMA LA DOUCE came to L.A. on tour (starring Larry Kert and Priscilla Loepz!) LACLO was using the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the Music Center as their home.
