| Seeing it at Encores, I enjoyed but was not enthralled. I may revisit. Sutton really does not (IMHO) have the voice to sell SHY, nor the comic 'chops'. Carol Burnett was a 'clown' in the best sense of the word, tallish and gawky. Sutton is pretty as a picture with a lovely low soprano voice. She can sing so well - but not a belter - and shy is a BIG belt. |
