I'm surprised no mention of JOB in this article. I suspect social media and influencers were a big part of that show's marketing from the very beginning. I saw the play on a weeknight very early in the run (before it officially opened, I believe), and the house was totally packed. This was especially surprising because many times I've gone to Soho Playhouse, there were fewer than 20 or so audience members.
I also noticed that it was a younger, hipper-looking crowd than you typically see at the theater ... like, the kind of crowd you'd see in line outside a trendy restaurant or club.
