Hoard Miller takes a look at The Meeting: The Interpreter at Theatre at St. Clement's:

Playwright Catherine Gropper is here to offer us a break from any anxiety we might be feeling about the impending 2024 presidential election by taking us back in time to recall the anxiety we may have felt prior to the election of 2016, when talk of Russian interference held the public's attention, at least until November 8 when Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton to became the nation's 45th president. Gropper's play, The Meeting: The Interpreter, opening today at the Theatre at St. Clements, takes a deep if obfuscating dive into a much scrutinized meeting that took place in June of 2016 at Trump Tower between several senior members of the Trump campaign and a Russian lawyer who may or may not have been peddling dirt on Clinton.
