| Genoveva Productions Presents ELAINE Written by Julia Genoveva At the Producers Club Theatre -The Royal Theatre 358 West 44TH Street, NY NY PERFORMANCES: THURSDAY AUG 22ND, 6:30PM FRIDAY, AUG 23RD, 6:30PM SATURDAY AUG 24TH 2PM SHOW & 6:30PM SHOW GENOVEVA PRODUCTION PRESENTS A NEW PLAY, ELAINE WRITTEN, PRODUCED, DIRECTED BY JULIA GENOVEVA. In the new production of Elaine one is introduced to a woman who has been a drifter, has gone from Florida to New York City unable to hold a job or retain sobriety. Her daughter, Vivian, has created a new life for herself and wants nothing to do with her mother. Circumstances bring mother and daughter back to reexamine their relationship through the help of Vivian's husband, Charles, a doctor who wants the best for both. The play is a frank and honest examination of the challenges that addiction and abuse can bring and how human emotions and circumstances shape people's lives. Paul Fraccalvieri plays Charles, the husband. He has 5 decade sof performing!experience. National tours and regional credits include leading and supporting roles in FOREVER PLAID, SOUTH PACIFIC, MY FAIR LADY, CRITICS CHOICE, CHICAGO, HELLO DOLLY, CAMELOT among a myriad other shows. Off-Bway credits include the original companies of FANNY LOU, SGT.STUBBY-THE GREAT AMERICAN WAR DOG-MUSICAL, and BELLEVUE SKETCHES. He is also a recording and cabaret artist and has performed with orchestras, and bands throughout the metro area. Mary Sheridan Plays Vivian and has appeared at Urban Stages, Theater for the New City & Theatre Row roles include: Alma in "Summer and Smoke", Savage in "Sav-age in Limbo" & Gertrude in "Hamlet". Alexis Tandit play Elaine and was recently seen as Alice Henry in the staged reading of the play, "What Cheer" by Karen Campion. And also the Nurse in "Dead Game" at the Secret Theater Queens Short Play Festival. She performed as Aunt CeCe in the Gingerbread Players production of "Goodnight Irene". Alexis has danced in numerous productions including "42nd Street", "Chicago" and "Kiss Me Kate". Alexis has had both comedic and dramatic roles, including "Barren Land-scape" for which she won the best actress award). Gus Ferrari who plays Ricardo is a veteran of the stage, Gus, has numerous theatre, film and TV credits and has toured the U.S. performing interactive and educational Theatre He was a founding member of l.N.T.A.R.53 Latino Actors Workshop and is currently Artistic Mgr. for Genoveva Productions. Credits: R.P. McMurphy ("One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"), Juror #10 ("12 Angry Jurors") and Lucien Smith ("The Boys Next Door"). Genoveva Productions was founded in 2009 by Julia Genoveva, with the mission to produce compelling original, classical and contemporary plays that will make a lasting impact on audiences; and to provide a safe, encouraging and fun environment for playwrights and actors to come together and create. Genoveva Productions is dedicated to Julia's late Grandfather, renowned Chilean filmmaker Sigifredo Salas, known for the films "Buscando Olvido" (1936) "Gallo de mi Galpón" (1938) and the critically acclaimed "De Carne Somos" (1938). He was a pioneer in contributing to bringing sound to moving pictures during the Golden Age of films in Latin America. In addition to being a Director, Producer & Playwright- Julia has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade, acting in films, plays, and commercials. Genoveva Productions has experienced tremendous growth in 2024-- Julia, alongside with Co-Producer, Gus Ferrari have launched "Genoveva's Writer's Workshop," and podcast: "It's Gonna Get Artsy," which shines a spotlight on all artists, and our NYC Off-Off Broadway Theatre community. Finally, in the works for Fall/Winter 2024, is the Genoveva Theatre Showcase which provides playwrights an opportunity to showcase their original plays.
