| I do not know what happened but if I had to hazard a guess it has something to do with what seems like an over-saturation of the product, between Fathom, PPV, etc. Not mentioned in the article is that it was shot on the Mouse's dime. On that basis I would further guess that the contractual complication mentioned in the Playbill piece is that Disney plans to stream, doesn't want competition and likely has (at least) a right of first refusal. I've heard that the technical/directorial work is superb. |
