The Astrakhan Coat starring Brian Bedford, Roddy McDowall, James Coco and in her Broadway debut Carole Shelley. It was at the original Helen Hayes Theater. The actors were fine but I was not really impressed. Fortunately the following night I saw Cactus Flower with Lauren Bacall (whom I nearly knocked over in the alley behind the Royale theater as she was entering -I still shudder to think of the look in her eyes) and Barry Nelson, Brenda Vaccaro, Robert Moore. It saved my opinion of Broadway as a glamourous place. Burt Brinkeroff played Igor, a role I later played in community theater.
