I saw so many odd productions at the old Valley Forge Music Fair. I remember a WEST SIDE STORY with Jack Wagner as Tony (I think the Maria was also from a soap), THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES with Gary Sandy, THE SOUND OF MUSIC with Debby Boone, and a LA CAGE with Gene Barry and Lee Roy Reems (with Barry's wife playing the nightclub owner character).

I remember my parents seeing Robert Goulet and Barbara Eden in SOUTH PACIFIC and John Davidson in THE MUSIC MAN. Don't know if anyone saw it, but I even remember an ad for a BAREFOOT IN THE PARK with a cast of actors off various soaps.

I did not see it, but recall them hosting A CHORUS LINE at one point and I have no idea how that would've worked in the round.

I even appeared there once myself...when Steve and Edie came to town, they closed their show with "God Bless America," a song for which Irving Berlin, apparently, gave the rights to the Boy Scouts in perpetuity. I was part of a group of Scouts who came down the aisles in uniform singing the song with them. It was fun, but I wish we'd had the opportunity to see the rest of the show. We gathered in a staging area and got on buses to go to the Music Fair and were directed in through the back stage area just in time to enter on cue.
