My first Broadway plays were: Holiday for Lovers (Don Ameche, 100 performances), The Happiest Millionaire (Walter Pidgeon, 271 performances), and Compulsion (Roddy McDowall and Dean Stockwell, 140 performances). All with discounted tickets from my college. My next Broadway show was a musical: Gypsy, with Ethel Merman. Loved it. But why did Merman sing that crazy song at the end? I mean -- the show is over. It's titled Gypsy, right? (I went back and saw the show again two weeks later. I think I understood the ending a little better by then. :) Gustave
