I would have liked to have seen the Two Rivers production and David Greenspan makes sense as an adaptor. But there are a number of adaptations and from looking at bits of them I don't think it lends itself well to adaptation. It's really a literary high wire act on Wilder's part. There's an interesting TV adaptation from 1954 with some great actors but from the bits that I saw of it, it doesn't seem to work either. The 2004 film adaptation with Robert De Niro, Kathy Bates and others is a mess.
