| I'm not sure what he died from, but there was an actor who played the priest, I think his name was Ted Bales, who did a number of productions of it. David Pevsner, who was in stuff like "When Pigs Play", who became a lot more notorious in the years afterward, was also in it and is alive and still posts a lot of things (elsewhere). It was a fun play because no one is a murderer or sick or something negative. They're friends who talk about musicals, musicals and popular culture, who's dated/slept with whom, and along the way, play a "Truth or Dare" game that gets them all naked progressively. Not all the sturm und drung of things like "Boys in the Band", I guess. It probably still works, but more as a period piece now, as its finale deal with singing along to Karen Carpenter and some younger folks born after her death may not have the cultural connection. | |
