| I assume Pryor wasn't cast for his vocals, but he was a pretty hot comedian then, coming off the success of ''Silver Streak'' and his Grammy-winning records. I haven't seen ''The Wiz'' in a long time, but it's not as if the Wiz has that much to sing. The movie dropped his ''Meet the Wizard'' and ''Y'all Got It.'' According to Wikipedia, Pryor is only credited as singing on ''Everybody Rejoice''/''A Brand New Day,'' which is a group number. I just looked up the ''Everybody Rejoice'' video. Unless Pryor sings at the very end, which got cut off, it seems as if his singing role was pretty insignificant. |
