Yes. It even discusses how Kurt Weill originally wanted to obtain the rights, as did Gershwin, as did Puccini -- all of whom Molnar turned down. It discusses several locations, one of which was Louisiana, that the Theatre Guild proposed for a change from Europe. I thought the best parts of the book are the original outline for the Louise ballet (covering 15 years of her life), the original heaven sequence, and the original outline for the musical by Hammerstein.
