| I imagine you don't hire someone of Adam Lambert's success and prominence and then ask him to be a copycat of prior actor. I will say this, the actor I saw play the Emcee in London last November was fantastic. And I say that as someone who has found every single clip I've seen of Redmayne's performance as offputting as you've described. I wish I knew who I saw. He was either Jake Shears' understudy or standby. Unfortunately, as you know, no Playbills in the UK and, in this case, I couldn't find a cast list board anywhere in the theatre or lobby, either. | |
