I feel like I frequently come off as a raging cynic on this board, so just dropping a small note in recommendation of Bill Irwin and ON BECKETT at The Irish Rep on 22nd Street.
Less a play and more a meditation on the craft of playwriting and acting, Irwin's expertise and charisma makes for an extremely-rewarding 80 minutes. If you're any sort of theatre artist, I would HIGHLY recommend this. Such an intimate and informed masterclass on storytelling. |
