| I remember David Letterman's first show when he moved to CBS and was broadcasting from the Ed Sullivan theater for the first time. About halfway through the show Dave said "Sir? Sir? Can I help you?" and they cut to a disgruntled older man who was standing up in the middle of the audience and looking confused. It was Paul Newman. He said, "Where the hell are the singing cats?" |
