DEAR ENGLAND coming to Broadway?

Reading on the other board that DEAR ENGAND is both coming to Broadway and being turned into a series in the UK.

I'm a bit surprised. I'm a big James Graham fan and I enjoyed the NT Live broadcast, but it seems sooooooooo English. I know lots of things have- like THE HISTORY BOYS and ONE MAN TWO GUVNORS- but this one outdoes those in its focus on such a specifically English topic. I have a passing knowledge of most English topics and I knew Gareth Southgate's name and understood that the success (or lack thereof) of the national team has often been described as having an existential influence on the mood of the country, but even with that I found it tough sledding.

Twenty years ago I'd have said that Joseph Fiennes was a draw, but he really seemed to disappear from the conversation while his big bro went from success to success. (I know he's worked non-stop and has a fine career, but it's not talked about much.)

Maybe they'll sell the potential of sex the way they did with HISTORY BOYS. (The poster for that show was genius: right out of the gate you knew you'd be seeing ten or so handsome young actors; there are certainly some good-lookings in this one, too.)

Just thinking it must be an expensive show to bring over. (Assuming they are importing the original cast and the casting notice for NYC is for understudies?)
