Agree that the audience for Darin specifically seems much smaller than these other artists. They are working to turn the theatre into a nightclub-esque space for this production ... which feels peculiar since Timbers' similar-seeming approach to HERE LIES LOVE didn't work and sank a ton of money into the ground.
That being said, Groff is one of the preeminent artists of his generation. If anyone could make this interesting, I have faith in him and his tastes. |
