Agreed! And people forget that initially, Evan tries to tell them but the parents don’t want to hear it. And in that moment, Evan would actually hurt them by telling them the truth and feels the weight of that. And he has severe anxiety issues so it was a difficult situation to be in. Eventually, Evan takes it too far, but like you said, why can’t we have stories about flawed people? That kind of drama is the most interesting to me. It’s why I liked it onstage and on film.
