| I have rather enjoyed several recordings of Chess over the years, but have never seen any production. What strikes me when I think about it, though, is that I never conjure a show in my head while listening to it. Most shows I learned initially from albums. I would envision Curly and Laurie flirting, Nathan and Adelaide bickering, Harold Hill in an endless parade of brass. With Chess I just listen to the songs. |
