I saw the Baltimore Center Stage production at the closing performance. I thought the beginning was a bit slow and a bit sitcommy, but it became quite a bit deeper, and I really enjoyed the show by the end. I was extremely impressed with the cast, who had already done a run together at Hartford Stage, so they really knew each other well and interacted seamlessly.
The actors were incredibly talented and are definitely ready for Broadway (I could easily envision having seen this production at the Friedman, for example), yet they have very few major credits among them, despite their talent. Acting is a tough business. |
