If the Jester and the Minstrel are combined does that mean the Very Soft Shoes number for the Jester in the second act is cut? It would make a long show shorter. I always thought that number was there because the original New York production had Matt Mattox playing the Jester and when you've got a dancer that good you've got to give him something to do. Anyway, sounds like this "rewrite" is TV-ized. And Foster isn't a clown.
