I don't know if rotating the librarians at the main branch of the BPL would have as negative an effect there as it did at Performing Arts, but if you're concerned about that or about the other changes that are going to be made, you can try contacting the president and CEO, Linda E. Johnson. Her bio is at the top of the page I'm linking. Scroll down to "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. I don't know if any message you send there is at all likely to reach her, but it might be worth a try. I would also suggest contacting your city councilperson or if that person is not also the councilperson for where the branch is located, try contacting that councilperson or both of those people. Any Brooklyn councilperson should be concerned about this so it really doesn't matter if your councilperson is also the councilperson for where the branch is located. The members of the city council do tend to be at least somewhat responsive to messages from their constituents. I would think someone from the office would get back to you, although probably not the councilperson. But your message might well get passed on, and that might lead to something.
