There was just a nicely done production in the Boston area, and at a talkback (where the theme was DEI issues in telling stories such as this, and Golden age musicals in general), people kept referring to 1947. And I kept thinking "no, it was '49" but then I realized they were also at times referring to the Michener source, which was indeed 1947. Ok. :-)
But 1948? No. That's sloppy. |
