I was talking about the critics' general attitude toward jukebox musicals.
I never saw ''Leader of the Pack,'' so I'll stand corrected that it's a musical about Ellie Greenwich, and not a revue.
But I think ''Smokey Joe's Cafe'' is both a revue (of Lieber and Stoller) AND a jukebox musical of their hits. |
