There was also American Mason Alexander Park as the Emcee at one point. Park may not be as famous as Jake Shears or Eddie Redmayne, but he was a regular on the QUANTUM LEAP revival series for 2 seasons until last year. He's not a complete unknown and, I suppose, he's available since QUANTUM LEAP wasn't renewed for a third season.
