Thanks for that bit of history. It is interesting how all these "Arts Campuses" from the 1960's meant different things to the places where they were built.
I've been to Montreal many times but have never seen its Place des Arts. I looked online at the recent renovations they did on it and I liked them. It looks like they respected the minimal-Brutalist aesthetic and just cleaned it up and modernized it a bit. I was lucky enough to see Dutoit on tour once and it was one of my great concert going experiences. |
