| Yes! Great example. Not a Day is such a gorgeous song, but the conceit of the show -- moving backward chronologically and seeing "the aftermath" before knowing these characters or being invested in them completely blunts the potential emotional force a moment like that could have had. Instead, it made Beth look a bit unstable. |
