The play's title is a little deceptive inasmuch as it is the story of a woman (played beautifully by Sarah Steele), who has been in a relationship with a guy, who has physically abused her. However, because she did not immediately report the abuse to the police, the resolution of the situation has caused her a lot of pain and guilt for which there seems to be no easy way to come to terms with her decision. Very provocative little play, well worth seeing, especially if you looking to see something on a Friday afternoon. Also, tickets are reasonably priced.
BTW, Tavi Gevinson is not in the current cast that I saw on Fri. afternoon. |
