| Ben Platt last night in Boston |

| Hi...saw Ben Platt last night for his first concert of his tour. He said it would be a different show than in NY at the Palace....only one Broadway tune...Maybe this Time. Brandy Clark opened for him (about 40 minutes); she sang a medley from Shucked. Then a 20 minute break before Ben who sang non-stop for just under 90 minutes or so. Mostly sang music from his albums, especially the latest. One duet with Brandy. Looked like the orchestra was well sold but couldn't see the upstairs from where I was sitting. He is performing in Providence tomorrow at PPAC....looks like they are not selling tickets for the balcony. Overall, a good concert (lots of screaming from the audience) just a little too much dancing for my taste! |
