Ben Platt, who'll be playing Charley in the movie of ''Merrily,'' announced Daniel Radcliffe's name (''Charley Kringas himself'') as the winner of his Tony.
Wish I could be at ''Merrily'' on Tuesday night, especially when the audience explodes during ''It's a Hit!'' at this lyric:
''Will their faces be stony
When they see on their Sony
Someone handing the phony
The Tony Award!
''I would like to begin by thanking everyone who turned down everything I have written ... so I could win this.'' |
