| So...I have this longtime friend and musical colleague (male) who's finally tying the knot with his partner (female) after many years of living together - and the wedding is tonight. Ha! He does a lot of theatre gigs, and we've done countless shows together (I gigged with her too once) - but somehow they're getting married on Tony night anyway. So I'll be at the reception...and missing the broadcast for the first time in forever. Thank god for DVR's, but still, it'll seem so damn strange to not be watching in real time and finding out who wins in real time as well. But I'm going to try very hard not to follow the awards news (we'll see...), and hopefully watch the main broadcast when I get home late tonight. I'm sure we'll all have plenty to chat about tomorrow. Foe those of you watching, and for those of you who might even be lucky enough to be there in person, enjoy. I'll have a great time tonight at the party I'm sure, but I'll be going through a bit of TDS (Tony Deprivation Syndrome) too, I suspect. :-) |
