I'm looking forward to seeing Bernadette and Lea in ''Old Friends'' on Broadway. But in London, neither of them got an Olivier nomination.

I'm assuming Best Actress in a Musical was a crowded field. Also, there are only 4 Olivier slots for Best Actress in a Musical, making it even tougher.

Bernadette & Lea could petition the Tonys to be in Featured. ''Sondheim on Sondheim'' submitted Barbara Cook in Leading, but they bumped her to Featured.

Plus, I happen to think that performers in musical revues are taken less seriously for awards than performers in a book musical. The last time a woman in a musical revue won Best Actress in a Musical was Ruth Brown in ''Black and Blue'' (1989) - and that was in a skimpy season 35 years ago!
