| Danny Burstein to Host 2024 Actors' Equity Foundation Awards Awards will be presented June 24 at Green Fig in New York City. New York – The Actors' Equity Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization supporting the professional theatre community, will present its 2024 awards on Monday, June 24. This event will take place at Green Fig, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), on the 4th floor of YOTEL. Reporters and photographers interested in attending in person should email press@actorsequity.org. Members of the public can tune in to the event via a livestream at 6 p.m. (details forthcoming). Tony Award–winner Danny Burstein will host the event, with live musical accompaniment by Tina deVaron. The evening will include the following award presentations: •The Clarence Derwent Award: Hannah Cruz and Andrew Durand •The Callaway Award: Marin Ireland and Jonathan Hadary •The Michael McCarty Award: Peter Van Norden •The Patrick Quinn Award: Christine Toy Johnson •The Richard Seff Award: Kecia Lewis and Ciaran O'Reilly •The Robeson Award: The Campfire Project (jointly presented with Actors' Equity Association) The ceremony will also include the presentation of Actors' Equity Association's ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus, the winners of which will be announced later this week. About Danny Burstein 19 Broadway shows including: Pictures From Home, Moulin Rouge, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Golden Boy, Follies, South Pacific and The Drowsy Chaperone. Awards include: The 2020 Drama League Award (3 nominations), 2 Drama Desk Awards (4 nominations), 4 Outer Critics Circle Awards (5 nominations), 3 Grammy Award nominations and the 2020 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical (7 nominations). About Tina deVaron Tina deVaron is a jazz performer-composer, a fixture on the NYC scene with performances at the likes of the Carlyle, Waldorf-Astoria and Russian Tea Room. Her solo piece, Fingernails in the Side of the Cliff, won Best Concert at United Solo 2022. Residencies: Soaring Gardens (2022 and 2023), VoxLab (2022), Catwalk (2021); all to work on Female Complaints, a musical about abortion provider Inez Burns. Female Complaints will have its concert debut at Green Room 42 on September 9, 2024. Songs have charted #1 on Billboard's Gospel charts, #2 on Club/Dance. Musical Perfet Mothers named one of NYMF's Top Ten Shows to See. Albums: If Mama Ain't Happy, Water Over Stones and Tuckerman's Ravine. She has garnered raves from The New York Times, Anne LaMott, Lisa Belkin, Sandy Kenyon, Tulis McCall and CBS-TV. 2023 marked Tina's 18th smash season at the Carlyle's "Madeline's Tea." O'Neil Semi-finalist, ASCAP Abe Olman Award for Excellence in Songwriting, Dove Award Nomination (on Grammy-nominated record), ASCAP, Dramatists Guild, BMI Workshop, Maestra, Local 802, Princeton BA.
