Similarly, I haven't yet seen Stereophonic. (I had a ticket at Playwright's, but was ill and missed it.) Nevertheless, I have no problem predicting that it will win Best Play this year.

So what are you basing your opinion on Stereophonic on? Others' opinions that you've heard or read? I won't say that isn't valid, but then it's not really your own opinion lol.

As long as these are personal predictions without consequence, I think you can base your opinions on whatever you glean. I don't always predict, but usually my opinions on the musicals are based on the cast recordings and whatever TV coverage I've seen, as I don't get that many chances to come to NYC to see shows. So I tend to go in knowing more what I hope will win as opposed to what will win.

As to the question of the actual Tony voters, they have rules to follow.
