Could not agree more. That cast… wow. I saw this on Broadway when it first opened and while I enjoyed it, I wasn’t as moved as I was by tonight’s performance. My one and only qualm was I hated that they didn’t cast a child so the line “you and I are getting in the lifeboat” which begins an exchange I have always loved, felt very awkward. That was tiny though.
Everything else, including the incredible orchestra, what a treat. |
