Those are some tricky Tricky examples, because they weren’t necessarily showered in Tony’s when they did run The following season.
Six would have gotten score, but that wouldn’t have counted against Moulin Rouge. Six might also have gotten costumes, though it would have been a more competitive year if they were up against Moulin Rouge.
North Country would probably have gotten no Tony’s if it had opened that year.
Westside story we obviously have no idea. It was such an incredible production, and I would’ve given it every award possible, but a lot of people really hated it. I think that division would have cost them.
Was that supposed to be the music man year? Not that it did great at the Tonys either. |
