It's always felt a bit like they were keeping their options open, but yes. I'm a little surprised they haven't at least added on a couple more weeks to Labor Day.
They're doing good business, but I guess not so good that they want to build and cast a whole second company. Probably better to bank the Broadway profits to support the next segment of the tour, or start paying back.
Though I didn't realise until I just looked that the next road dates weren't until March. Maybe they can't keep the theatre for the fall. Or they're waiting to announce something when it won't get lost in the Tony-time shuffle. |
