[Apologies to Musicals54, who posted 13+ hours before me] The 1987 play Tamara, at the Park Avenue Armory, was immersive theater decades before Sleep No More - almost 3 hours long; audience members moved from room to room, choosing what or whom they wanted to see; food and champagne served ($85 matinees, $135 Sat. eves.). Full disclosure: I saw Tamara, but not Sleep No More. And btw, Tamara is Tamara de Lempicka, subject of the recent Broadway show.
