I’m still heartbroken that Covid cancelled the first proposed tour of this show
The tour was arriving in Boston toward the end of March that year. I had seen the show in New York and was very excited to see the tour. But of course the show was cancelled. And the tour that did happen didn't come through Boston. BUT 0 we did get a great production this past season at the Huntington Theatre.
And yes, I absolutely agree about "The Beat Of Your Heart." (And in seeing the show, what I didn't realize is that it also helps set up the conflict with Iris, who really doesn't want these guests in the house, and doesn't want to hear the happy love story about her mom and dad, partly because she feels her own marriage with Itzik is a failure.) But I wish they had had room for Haled's song too. :-) |
