From what I am hearing, "indefinite" is intentionally hyperbolic. It's all politics of course and there is a huge pushback coming out of the gate, esp from a majority of the boroughs. Hochul is all politics all the time, but this may well be very bad for her. Her "solution" is to make the opponents pay an unacceptable amount for bonds to cover MTA's needs. That will never happen.

Anyway, this is terrible news for everyone, starting with the governor.
