''Indeed, what choice did [Groff] have?''

It's surprising that Gross would've miscredited Groff with winning a Tony for ''Hamilton.'' She's such a theater fan and obviously had seen the show.

Assuming Groff was in the studio as Gross was reading that intro, there was no place during it, where he could've easily corrected her.

When Gross brought up the topic of ''Hamilton'' near the end of the interview, I imagine Groff could've said: ''Oh, you know where you said I'd won a Tony for ''Hamilton'' in the intro? For the record, I was only nominated as King George. My co-star, Daveed Diggs, who played Lafayette and Jefferson, actually won that Tony for Featured Actor.'' Then again, maybe Groff didn't want to point out Gross' mistake and embarrass her. That can be awkward, too.
