Forget the "appalled reactions from fellow Chatters." In what world do you think Jackman himself would ever agree to play Herbie for more than one night? And producers be able to pay him? And Audra agree to him being paid more than her?
And I'm not sure which scene in GYPSY would be right for Herbie to tap dance.
