I don't think I'm really the demo for Heart of Rock and Roll. I hadn't thought of Water for Elephants. Not a popular opinion, but I'm generally not a fan of 95% of the new scores that make it to Broadway. I definitely have 'old man' taste when it comes to musical theatre scores. I consider 80s shows to be 'modern' scores. LOL.
It's not that I'll never take a chance or that I never enjoy a new score, but being an out of towner with very limited slots, when it comes to musicals, I tend to gravitate toward revivals or more known entities. |
