I know this was a long-scheduled absence, but it also might be good for him to have a bit of time off. Some felt at the Colbert performance that he seemed tired, and I saw the show later that week and he also seemed very tired. Perhaps he was sick. His "Franklin Shepard, Inc" got a ton of applause, but it didn't really build to something frenetic and felt a bit slow in tempo. It was not as high-energy as I think that song is usually sung. |
